Former Ohio Institute Director and Foundation Board Member Jim Tinnin, created a restricted endowment to fund a scholarship program specifically designed to support online learning.
This program annually offers two eligible IIMC Members in each Region (I through XI) an opportunity to receive a $100 scholarship that can be applied toward registration expenses for any of the existing online learning opportunities found on the IIMC website. Although Athenian Dialogues are valuable education tools, they do not meet the scholarship criteria for this program.
Applicants must have an Admission for CMC or MMC Application on file with IIMC and be active members. If the number of applications exceeds available funds, recipients will be selected by random draw. The Foundation may award additional scholarships dependent upon funding availability.
Seventy-seven recipients were notified in November for funding of online programs completed January 1 through December 31, 2025. Reimbursement occurs after completion of the online program.
The application period is now closed. Recipients will be announced soon.
